Fundraising Project for 2013/2014

Ramoth Life Centre is excited to announce that we are moving forward with another stage to extend our care. Ramoth Life Centre Board of Directors have spent countless hours processing this project over the past few years and now see that the need is certain. On this note we wish to announce our desire to start a Second Stage Housing Project. As a small rural community we are used to taking care of our own and it is our desire to take the next step in helping our moms integrate back into a community while making healthy, well balanced choices with limited support available.

With the help and support of our local Children’s Aid Societies and our past and present residents we have put together a proposal of what our second stage Housing will be like; Second Stage Housing would be in the form of a 4-6 unit apartment building, within close proximity to our present location. It would provide our residents the opportunity to transition from the current one year 24-hour full support program into an apartment with limited support for an extended period of one year. This program would allow our clients to have time obtain full time housing in a safe environment, apply for work or further education, retain daycare for their child, and learn budgeting skills, with limited supervision, while continuing to parent their child. Our goal is to help stop homelessness by preparing our clients for the reality of living on a limited budget in today’s society, and how to become a vital part of a community while continuing to parent in a healthy manner.

We feel that the Second Stage Housing would be of great value to our clients in that most of our clients have not lived independently to this point and need to learn how to be responsible for their own lives and expenses by making educated, well planned choices. For most when they leave here it would be their first time paying rent, heat and hydro and purchasing groceries on their own. It is our hope that by giving our client this opportunity to independently implement the life skills learned at Ramoth House they will successfully sustain the life changes they have made.

After extensive research we are looking to raise $400,000.00 to put towards this project. Thank you, to our Ramoth House Family for your ongoing support!

“The Goal to reduce our Mortgage Principle has been accomplished”

Over the last year we have been raising funds towards the reduction of our mortgage. Many faithful supporters have contributed to this project which has resulted in decreasing the mortgage principle. We are incredibly excited to announce that God has worked a tremendous miracle for Ramoth on this matter! Due to a generous donation from a Private Donor that wishes to remain anonymous, the mortgage is now paid in full! Being mortgage free will remove a tremendous financial burden from Ramoth. We thank God for His faithfulness! We thank this Private Donor and all those who have generously contributed to the Mortgage Reduction Fundraiser.
